It is now available for purchase at the West Bloomfield Parks and Recreation activities center counter, West Bloomfield Library Friends Shop, Keego Harbor City Hall, Orchard Lake City Hall, Orchard Lake Museum, and Sylvan Lake City Hall. 175th West Bloomfield Anniversary commerative cancellation stamp is available at the West Bloomfield Post Office Through June 21, 2008. We also have produced a colored West Bloomfield 1872 map, 11x17", available for $5.00. The 1872 map is available at the West Bloomfield Treasure's counter, the location listed above and the GWBHS web site, www.gwbhs.com ************************************************************************* Friday May 16, 2008 Michigan Week Breakfast Greater West Bloomfield Honors those who have made major volunteer contributions to the community. 7:15am at Bay Pointe Golf Club on Haggerty Rd. Saturday May 17, 2008 & Sunday May 18, 2008 Apple Island Tours The tour highlights transportation to, on and near 38-acre Apple Island in the center of Orchard Lake. West Bloomfield Historical Society members will lead the tours which will begin at the museum. Adults $10 ~ Children 12 years and under $5. This will be first-come, first-serve basis. Saturday tours run from 12:00 - 4:00, Sunday tours 12:00 - 3:00. Call 248-682-2279 with questions.

Friday September 12, 2008 - Saturday September 13, 2008 Camp In - Camp Out at Marshbank Park Friday Evening Activities 6 - 9pm Activities include lounging by the camp fire, roasting marshmallows, listening/singing along to live music, hayrides, arts and crafts, Henry Ford Health System Fun Booth. Visit and pet "live" farm animals and take a pony ride. Autumn would not be complete without doughnuts, cider and pumpkins. There will also be a inflatable bouncer and a 25 foot climbing tower. *Climbing tower, pony rides and refreshments will be available for a nominal fee. $2 Per Person at the Gate. Registration will be at Parks and Recreation. (Live music entertainment sponsored by West Bloomfield Library)
