As a part of the 175 anniversary celebration, West Bloomfield Township held a ceremonial tree planting on Wednesday May 28, 2008.  This event was held to honor the woodland and wetland board members.  Elected officials, the woodland board, the wetland board, as well as the Director of Development Services met outside town hall to ceremoniously plant a new red oak tree in honor of West Bloomfield's environmental history and the township wide tree planting program.
