ANY proposed alterations or disturbance prescribed within the wetland ordinance requires a permit to be granted by the Township. Granting of wetland permits allow the Township to closely monitor, track, and enforce the wetland ordinance that is intended to protect public and environmental health. |
Land Conditions Prescribed within the Wetland Ordinance
The Township’s wetland ordinances apply to the following land conditions:

Lands within the 100-year floodplain and subject to hazardous flooding

A watercourse, defined as a body of water that has well-defined banks. A watercourse includes lakes and ponds, and year-round or seasonally flowing rivers, streams, creeks, and brooks

A wetland, land characterized by the adequate presence of water to support wetland vegetation and aquatic life
